Katy-Area Farmers Markets Offer Katy Residents 'Old Town' Shopping Charm

KATY MAGAZINE NEWS

By Natalie Cook Clark

Katy continues to grow bringing more newcomers to once land of rice fields, but that small town ‘Old Katy’ charm never wavers. Local Farmer’s Markets and the monthly Katy Market Day, that happens right in the heart of downtown Katy bring people together and celebrate community.

Katy Weekends Bustle with Shops and Markets

From picking out local vegetables to selecting some new handcraft earrings, Katy weekends are for shopping and socializing.

"Markets are a great way to support high quality local entrepreneurs, plus they provide community gathering space to connect and enjoy with friends and neighbors," says Katy resident Janea Smith King.

Plan your weekends out to visit these popular and recurring events.

"In these times of countless shipping issues and costs, "buying local" is more valued than ever,” says Ramona Ridge.
