Parents can get tips and have a free inspection of their child's car seat at Harris County ESD No. 48 on Thursday, April 19.
According to SafeKids.org, 75% of car seats are installed incorrectly. A car seat or booster not properly secured can greatly increase a child's risk of injury in the event of an accident.
On April 19, Harris County ESD No. 48 will have nationally certified technicians come out and demonstrate how to safely secure your child and install their car seat or booster seat, as well as inspect your current seat.
There will also be a limited amount of car seats available for families in financial need.
RULES
Child and vehicle must be present to participate.
