On the early morning of the Fourth of July the Guadalupe River rose 26 feet in only a few hours causing widespread flash flooding and resulting in a mounting death toll that includes many young girls from a Christian camp. Katyites are rallying this week to offer aid. HERE'S AN UPDATED LIST OF HOW YOU CAN HELP.

Last Friday, the Fourth of July, Central Texas was struck with heavy rain that resulted in the Guadalupe River rising up to 26 feet in a matter of hours. The river that stretches across the Texas Hill County created a deadly flash flood situation that his Hunt and Kerr Counties the hardest.
As of this morning, authorities report that the death toll has passed 100 and dozens are still missing including ten young girls and their counselor from the popular Camp Mystic.
The tragedy proves again that Texans come together during times of crisis and Katy is no exception.
While social media posts are circulating saying that donations are at capacity, donations are still needed. If Kerr County doesn't take them, then keep in mind other counties were still impacted. There is still a great need for supplies and monetary donations.
“When the waters rise, Katy rises higher. That’s just how we’re built,” says Tom Paynter, Marketing Director for No Label Brewing Co. “We’re neighbors helping neighbors, no questions asked.”
