IKEA U.S. announced plans to open a new kind of shopping experience in Katy’s already popular LaCenterra area. The store is set to open in spring 2024.

IKEA Comes to Katy Spring 2024
IKEA is set to open a new kind of store in Katy’s LaCenterra area this Spring. According to IKEA, the new format store is part of IKEA’s commitment to become more accessible, convenient and affordable for their many customers.
The IKEA Commitment
“Our commitment to expanding the IKEA experience is unwavering and Katy is a strategic next step in our journey. We believe in bringing the magic of IKEA closer to our customers to better meet their needs, both in-store and digitally, with newer, more accessible store formats," says Javier Quiñones, CEO & Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S.
This new center to be located in Cinco Ranch’s LaCenterra will provide interior design planning with IKEA specialists. Customers can find solutions that require a bit more help such as kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
A New Kind of Shopping, Designing
This shopping format will include a “Plan & Order Point” with pick-up being at the second IKEA in the Houston metro area. Purchases made at IKEA Katy can also be arranged to be transported to a customer’s home or to another convenient location.
With the addition of an IKEA pick-up point, customers will also be able to collect their purchases when and where it is convenient for them, supporting both online purchases and those made at the plan & order point.

IKEA Katy will be located in the LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch shopping center at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd, Suite G130, in 5,500 square feet of leased space.
In addition to opening new Plan & order points and Pick-up locations in city centers, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family benefits, IKEA Business Network loyalty program, lower priced shipping and delivery, Click & collect and TaskRabbit assembly services.
IKEA has stores in 30 countries and 51 stores in the U.S.
