Investigation Underway as Man Found Dead at Katy Home

A man is dead from multiple gunshot wounds and was found last night at a Katy residence. The case is still being investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division.


 

Last night around 5:00 p.m. Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call to the 500 block of Everington Drive in Katy. When they arrived, deputies found a man believed to be in his mid-20’s dead in a vehicle.


 

The victim died of multiple gunshots and was driven to the home by two men after the shooting. A weapon hasn’t been recovered.


Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez took to social media to share the news and to announce that CSI was on their way to the scene.

 

Authorities say that the driver of the vehicle resides at the home and both men are being questioned. Investigators believe that the man has been renting the home and they are working on obtaining a search warrant.


 

Authorities say that they do not believe that there is any threat to the community.
