Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez reported the incident last night and said that it occurred around 9:30 p.m. at a residence at the 3300 block of Piney Forest Drive in the Mayde Creek community.
According to Sheriff Gonzalez, deputies located a deceased adult male and female upon arrival to the scene. The residents were married. Their 16-year-old daughter was home and called authorities when their parents got into an argument.
When authorities arrived, they met the daughter who was unharmed. While the incident is still under investigation, authorities believe that the 47-year-old husband shot and killed his 48-year-old wife and then took his own life.
No one has been identified at this time.
Investigators said that family members reported that the couple was considering divorce.
