The Katy area continues to grow especially large counties like Fort Bend County. Katy drivers will soon see an increase on toll fees as the county continues to work to keep up with the rapid growth.

Â
Effective January 1, 2026, Katy drivers will see a 2% increase on toll fees on the fort Bend county Parkway and Westpark Tollway.
Â
The Fort Bend County Parkway tolls will increase from $.075 to $0.77 and Westpark will move from $0.82 t0 $0.84. This will greatly impact large area master-planned communities such as Cinco Ranch and Elyson, which are both right along the increase line.
Â
According to the county's toll road authority, under what's called the toll rate order, the rates must be increased by either two percent or the regional inflation rate from last year, whichever is higher. The department reports that since last year's rate was 1.1%, there will be a 2% bump when you see your toll bill.
Â
And not having a toll tag isn’t an option. Drivers who try to get by without will pay an extra $0.25 at all locations.
Â
The Katy area continues to grow in residential developments, business, entertainment, and schools. Just this week Katy ISD broke ground on another elementary school on the north side of their District to keep meeting the demand of such growth.
Â
Large master-planned communities continue to build such as in areas like Sunterra, Elyson, and other developments located in the rapidly growing north side of Katy.
