The 2026 Katy ISD Livestock Show and Rodeo was a record-breaking season for FFA students. The milestone reflects thousands of hours of student preparation and the unwavering support of Katy families, businesses and alumni who filled the stands and bid generously to back the next generation of agricultural leaders.

The annual livestock auction generated $1.2 million in student support, which is the highest total in event history. This accomplishment is the result of thousands of hours of student preparation and the unwavering support of families, alumni, and businesses.
“More than 600 of our students proudly showcased projects that reflected months of hard work, perseverance and parent and community support," Katy ISD Superintendent Ken Gregorski said. “Every auction bid and every add-on is more than a contribution, it’s a belief in our students’ work ethic, responsibility and future success.”

A total of 687 students (exhibitors) participated in the livestock show; 161 students participated in the auction. Students must place in the livestock show to appear in the auction. Add-on sales, which allow supporters to contribute to students whose animals were not purchased in the live auction, remain open through Monday, Feb. 23 at 5 p.m. Final totals are expected to grow as additional contributions are received.
For 83 years the Katy ISD FFA Livestock Show and Katy Rodeo has provided students with opportunities while entertaining the community. Hundreds enjoyed the parade last Saturday and even more enjoyed the rodeo events.
“The Katy Livestock Show and Rodeo is one of my favorite events of the year,” says Katy ISD Board of Trustee James Cross. “It is such a visible way our students get to connect with our community. The community gets to see first-hand the work that goes into an event like this.”

It’s a win for all of Katy!”
