Katy ISD Hosts Informational Webinars Ahead of Virtual High School Enrollment Opening

Katy ISD will host another webinar tomorrow ahead of their new Legacy Virtual High School enrollment opening. The new high school will offer students across the entire state to opportunity to experience a Katy ISD education with flexible schedules.
Tomorrow families can attend a webinar to learn more information about Katy ISD’s Legacy Virtual High School. The session will be Thursday, December 11, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. Register online.
“I’m so excited about the rollout of our new Legacy Virtual High School,” says Katy ISD Board of Trustee Dawn Champagne. “It is exciting to think of the opportunity to enroll new students and give our current students another option to attend high school.”
The Legacy Virtual High School will provide students from across the entire state a comprehensive selection of full-time course offerings that will give students a complete, accredited high school experience with a flexible schedule.
Courses offered as part of the Legacy virtual High School curriculum meet the Texas graduation requirements while keeping to the District’s tradition of academic excellence.
Each course is taught by certified teachers who provide personalized instruction, ongoing feedback, and virtual support to ensure student success. Whether pursuing a multidisciplinary, STEM, business and industry, or arts and humanities endorsement, Legacy students have access to rigorous and engaging course options.
Students will be able to attend the new virtual high school as a full-time student or if they need to supplement a class to their already set curriculum.
Legacy Virtual High School will open next fall, but enrollment for currently listed courses opens February 2, 2026.
Courses are currently listed on their website and include a huge variety of core academic classes, languages, fine arts, technical courses, and more.
