Katy ISD inducted twenty individuals into the Katy ISD Athletic Hall of Honor as part of the Class of 2024. For eight years the district has honored athletes, coaches, and supporters that stand out in their values.

About More Than Athleticism

Those honored are recognized for not only their athleticism but these players, coaches, and supporters embody the values of the district’s Athletic Department. Katy ISD looks at attitude, character, commitment, leadership, sportsmanship, responsibility, accountability, decision-making, work ethic, and teamwork.

The district took time during the Katy Tigers and Tompkins Falcons football game to honor the new class of honorees. It was especially special as Obra D. Tompkins, a namesake for Tompkins High School, was honored at the school's game.

“This is our eighth year of honorees, and we continue to be impressed by the way they exemplify the values of the district, even beyond their time here,” says Lance Carter, Executive Director of Athletics in Katy ISD. “It is always a privilege to welcome them back home and to see them recognized before their families and those who knew them best.”
