The Katy community continues to grow and Katy ISD is working to meet that growth by hiring 200 more certified teachers for the 2022-2023 school year. This weekend the fastest growing public school district will host its annual Certified Teacher Job Fair.

“As the District grows, we continue to look for passionate educators to serve our students,” says Katye Shields, Katy ISD Human Resources Coordinator.

Administrators from both elementary and secondary schools will be available to meet with candidates, review and conduct “on-the-spot: interviews.

Be Prepared

No pre-registration is required, but applicants must show proof of certification, TEA/SBEC content exam scores and/or Statement of Eligibility (SOE). Katy ISD recommends that candidates complete an application on the Katy ISD website in advance and bring enough resumes to share at the fair.

The Katy ISD 2022 Teacher Job Fair is this Saturday, March 26, 2022 at the Leonard E. Merrell Center (6301 South Stadium Lane.)

The Elementary Job Fair will be from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m and the Secondary Job Fair will be from 1:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m.

While this job fair is only for certified teachers, Katy ISD is actively seeking to hire numerous staff positions and substitute teaching positions. Learn more here.

“As one of Texas’ premier school districts, Katy ISD is known for hiring and retaining some of the best educators in the state and nation,” says Shields.
