With one of the largest Future Farmers of America (FFA) chapter in the nation, Katy Independent School District is proud to announce the groundbreaking of its new Agricultural Sciences Center. Invaluable educational experiences involving plants and raising farm animals will take place at this new state-of-the-art facility.

The ceremony will take place on April 23, 2018 from 11 a.m. - 12 noon at 5825 Katy Hockley Cut Off Rd.

Katy ISD continues serving as an outstanding training ground for the next generation of farmers, scientists, veterinarians and a host of other fields. The programs offered at this facility will provide an array of opportunities to students who wish to contribute to the world of agriculture, food and natural resources used by millions of citizens around the nation.

“This project has become a reality for our FFA students and staff thanks to our voters,” said Superintendent Lance Hindt. “We expect the Agricultural Sciences Center to be ready for the Katy ISD Livestock Show and Rodeo scheduled for February 2019,” added Hindt.
