The historic Katy Rice Harvest Festival promises to be big as the city announces entertainment headliner Sawyer Brown and the return of the carnival plus new extras. Vendor and volunteer signup is open, and tickets are now on sale.

Katy’s most historic event returns this year, October 11-12, 2025. The Katy Rice Harvest Festival promises to be an event of fun and time to celebrate Katy with seasoned favorites and the addition of new events.

The Katy Rice Harvest Festival, hosted by the City of Katy in partnership with the Rotary Club of Katy, is a first-class, family-friendly event featuring carnival, quality arts and crafts vendors, excellent live music and food options, more. The proceeds of this two-day event all go back to the Katy community through scholarships and donations.

Headlining Saturday night is the legendary Sawyer Brown Band, bringing their high-energy country-rock performance to Downtown Katy for an unforgettable show. With over 40 years of hits, 51 charted singles, and multiple CMA, ACM, and CMT awards, Sawyer Brown has earned their place as one of country music’s most enduring and beloved acts.

On Sunday, the stage will spotlight an all-female artist lineup, celebrating talented women in music with Kylie Frey.

The Carnival Returns

Last year the festival took a year off from hosting a carnival so they could take the time to find the right partnership. They found it with MacGregor Entertainment with high-quality rides and games for all ages.

Festival-goers can enjoy a classic carnival complete with rides, games, and a dedicated Toddler Zone featuring a petting zoo, bounce houses, and a Tiny Sports Zone designed just for little ones,” says Kaci Maris, Tourism and Marketing Event Coordinator

The New AgVenture

The Katy Rice Harvest Festival will also welcome the new AgVenture Area. The AgVenture Area will feature a large petting zoo, pony rides, and interactive exhibits. There will also be a College Zone this season, where fans can catch all the big college and professional football games live throughout the weekend.

Vendor and Volunteer Applications are Open

Vendor applications are now open.

“This year vendors will have the opportunity to secure premier booth locations near or on the square for an additional fee,” says Maris. “These prime spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, offering even greater visibility during the event.

Applications are available online.

Volunteer registration is also open. Committee assignments are subject to availability, but there are many opportunities to work with any kind of schedule.

Volunteer sign up is open online. The city asks that individuals apply separately and not to register multiple people under one account.

“We’ve taken everything we learned from last year and used it to make this year’s event even better. Having gone through the experience, we now know what to expect and where improvements were needed,” says Maris. “Most importantly, we listened — to our vendors, downtown businesses, partners, sponsors, and the community. Their feedback helped shape our planning, and we’re truly excited to present what we believe will be a fantastic event for everyone.

Tickets for the festival are $10 for adults, with children 12 and under are free. Carnival unlimited rides and games can be purchased for $30 for one day or $50 for the entire weekend.

All proceeds from the festival go directly to community grants and scholarships through a partnership with the Rotary Club of Katy, supporting local initiatives and students.

Tickets can be purchased online.
