Katy families can meet their favorite Houston athletes, including some from Katy, this Saturday. Enjoy interviews, demos, music and local vendors. Around 20 big names from the NBL, NFL, NHL, Olympians, NASCAR, and many more will be present.

Meet Top Athletes
The Willow Fork Drainage District's Central Green Park, located in LaCenterra, brings the community the annual H-Town Sports Day this Saturday, April 15, 2023 12:00 p.m.- 4:00 p.m. The popular event gives sports fans the chance to meet some of the biggest names in local sports. This free event is a not to miss.
Baseball, Football, NASCAR, and More!
There will be NASCAR drivers, athletes from national tiers, fun mascots, street teams, and Olympians. Some athletes you can meet include Amobi Okoye, Christian Harris, Garrett Wallow, Derek Stingley, NASCAR Driver Ted Minor and Katy’s own racecar driver, Ty Hymel.
“The opportunity to represent an entire sport to the not only Katy but the whole city of Houston is truly amazing, and a dream come true,” says Katy’s own Ty Hymel. “I’ve been so thankful and so blessed to be invited to this event four times now and every time I still can’t believe that I’m in the presence of such amazing athletes.” Hymel is set for his next race this Saturday after the event.
H Town Sports Day will kick off with the Play 60 at noon, an event where kids can work out with professional athletes, learn healthy habits and be able to ask questions. Sign up for the Play 60 starts at 11:00 a.m.
“H-town Sports Day is an opportunity for the public to get up close and meet their favorite athletes,” says Yvonne Arceneaux, Willow Fork Drainage District’s Park Director. “Our interviews give the public a chance to see their personalities and learn more about them.”
