Katy’s LaCenterra Bought in $233 Million Development Deal

LaCenterra, a popular Katy outdoor shopping and entertainment center was bought in a $233 million development deal. Buy Brixmor Property Group has 30 other locations within the Greater Houston area.

LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch is a 409,000 square-foot development that sees over 5 million visits annually. It’s home to Trader Joe’s Alamo Drafthouse, Consuela, Lululemon, Chewy Vet Care, and many more retail and dining destinations.
"The acquisition of LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch furthers our clustering strategy in a key market and broadens our tenancy profile and retailer relationships, providing a vibrant source of incremental and relevant demand, as we continue to evolve the merchandise mix across our transformed portfolio," says Mark Horgan, executive vice president and chief investment officer for Brixmor Property Group.
LaCenterra is also home to the popular Central Green Park, that offers free concerts, events, fitness classes, and story time moments that Katy families enjoy.
Brixmor Property Group announced the sale in their second earnings report that was released on July 28, 2025.
LaCenterra is in full Back-to-School mode with sales going on and most stores including 15% off for students at IKEA.
This Saturday night, August 2, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Central Green Park will host their annual Back-to-School bash. At the party they will film the biggest dance reel event in Katy. Follow Central Green Park on Facebook for upcoming events.
