Katy's Oldest NCL Chapter to Open Membership Drive

The Katy National Charity League (NCL) Chapter will be accepting applications starting October 1 for mothers with daughters currently in the sixth grade in the Katy ISD, Richmond, Fulshear, or Sealy areas

NCL is the oldest and largest mother-daughter volunteer organization in the country. Through the NCL programs and activities, mothers and daughters participate in unique opportunities to strengthen their bond and improve their communities.

Members Develop Valuable Skills, Support Community

Chartered in 1984, the Katy Chapter is the oldest NCL Chapter in Katy. The group provides all members the opportunity to engage in positive, character-building experiences. Through activities such as mentoring programs, coordinating volunteer opportunities, and event and meeting planning, they develop valuable leadership skills.

Members of the Katy Chapter of NCL grow together through philanthropic involvement in the community. They support the Ballard House/Cinco Charities, Brookwood Community, Clothed by Faith, Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), Katy Christian Ministries (KCM), and more.

The mother-daughter pairs in the Katy Chapter of NCL also enjoy a variety of cultural experiences. They can choose to attend local theatrical performances and exhibits, and learn from guest speaker presentations about local history, arts, and literature.

Last year’s graduating seniors volunteered more than 8,000 hours of philanthropic service to our community in six years including American Cancer Society, ARC of Katy, The Ballard House, Brookwood Community, Citizens of Animal Protection, Texas Children’s Hospital, and Clothed By Faith to name a few.

In-Person Open House Next Month

There will be an Open House on Sunday, October 17th where mothers and daughters can learn more about this opportunity to make a valuable impact to the Katy community while strengthening their mother/daughter bond.
