ACTING

Spotlight Acting Academy The Villagio Town Center 832-913-6884 22758 Westheimer Pkwy. Offering summer camps, classes, and workshops for ages 3-18 including the Triple Threat Workshop and the Down the Rabbit Hole Preschool Camp. Be part of the Disney’s My Son Pinocchio, Jr. performance or the Once Upon a Mattress G2K performance. Providing excellent theater instruction through fun activities for thespians of all ages.

ANIMALS

A half day week-long camp for ages 7-13 at the CAP Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center. Games, crafts and hands-on animal interactions make each day fun and help children to develop a positive attitude toward all living beings. Enrollment opens online April 1.

ART

Katy Art school will have three class offerings each week during the summer. Classes will run Monday - Thursday. Classes are offered for various age groups, and have been designed for the difficulty and time frame for the age group indicated. All supplies are provided by Katy Art School and included in the price of the class.


FIELD TRIPS/DAY CAMPS

Field trips and fun all summer long at one of Katy's only NAEYC accredited preschools. Campers enjoy a wide variety of outings and hands on activities where learning and fun never stops.

Kids R Kids Multiple Locations in Katy Kids R Kids offer a 10-week summer camp series, where kids explore their hidden talents, passions, and interests. Experience art and cooking, engineering, community service, and everything in between! The full-day program is open to ages 5 through 12. Primrose Schools Multiple Locations in Katy These fun-filled, age-appropriate themed camps for ages 2 through 12 include new adventurers with fun experiences and exciting activities like building robots, creating digital art, taking on engineering challenges and playing sports.

FOOTBALL

Katy Youth Football 713-331-1907 Offering both conditioning camps and tackle camps for first through sixth graders. Camps are held mid-to late July respectively and are usually in the late afternoon and evenings.

HORSES

Full-day camps for children age 7 -15 8 a.m. til 4:30 pm. Morning camps for children age 5-15 years 8:30 a.m. til 12 p.m. Two camps for children age 3-15 years 10 am - 12 pm. 75-minute splash camps for children age 18 motnhs to 5-year 10:45 am til 12 pm.

MARTIAL ARTS

An all day camp for kids in grades K-5. Martial arts, plus guest speakers, field trips, arts and crafts and more. Staff leads lessons to nurture your child’s development and self-worth, with tons of planned activities and lots of Tae Kwon Do.

Each week will focus on different themes that are designed to challenge campers both mentally and physically. Worksheets will track student progress with awards for reaching their goals. Each camp includes lots of fun and exciting activities including field trips.

MUSIC

Camp A is for ages 8 to 12 and is designed for the camper with no experience. Camp B is for ages 13 to 15. The camps are two hours daily, Mon through Fri. School of Rock offers a variety of music camps during the summer for all levels. Each camp throughout the summer lasts one week.

RUGBY

Texas Rugby Kids Multiple Locations 832-600-8412 Five fun-filled days of non-contact rugby fun for boys and girls, ages 3-14. Weekly camps run Mon- Fri 9 am-noon throughout June and July. Teamwork, physical activity, and coordination for the little ones; skill development, off-season training, agility work and game play for our older ruggers.

Outstanding week long science and technology day camps for ages 4-15 with age appropriate, hands-on, fun science and technology camps. Kids love their themed programs like robotics, programming and apps, video game design, culinary arts, and so much more. They offer multi camp and sibling discounts.

SOCCER

British Soccer Camp FFPS Soccer Complex George Bush Park 713-907-4907 Camp for ages 6 through 16 will be held to cover dribbling, moves, passing, shooting, and more. Coaches use a positive approach and are British certified.

Pro’s Katy Indoor Soccer 1005 Airline Dr. 832-704-3038 They have a great summer camp program for ages 6 to 12. Campers will learn the sport of soccer with trainings and scrimmages and play a game or two of dodgeball all while staying cool in their indoor facility.

TRADITIONAL

Monty Ballard YMCA 15050 Cinco Park Rd. 281-392-5055 Nestled in a woodsy park-like area, YMCA’s Camp Cinco offers exciting activities like archery, ropes courses, swimming, and more. It’s held at the 200-acre Camp Cinco behind Creech Elementary and features sports fields, a basketball pavilion, misting stations, and a brand new playground. Camp is held from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. for campers ages 6 to 15

TRACK & FIELD Katy Blazin’ Red Camp Held at Katy High School (979) 218-8604 This track and field camp has two sessions Mon. through Thurs. 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for kids ages 3 to 12. Call for dates.

TENNIS

Katy Tennis Academy Camps held at Beckendorff Junior High or Seven Lakes High School 832-434-0205 Weekly camps cover areas like stroke technique, drills, singles and doubles, match play, serving, and more. Beginners, intermediate, and advanced players welcome. Ages 5 through 17. Camps usually run through early August.
