On Saturday, October 18, 2025, around 7:00 a.m. a Katy woman was walking her dog near the block of 500 S. Mason Road when she encountered a man looking into her vehicle. The woman had been waiting for her dog’s grooming appointment when she saw the man and approached him.

The man, now known to be a 36-year-old male, aggressively walked in her direction and threw a beer bottle at her and her dog. The broken bottle didn’t touch them, but she screamed.

“Our deputies responded to screams for help,” says Robert Henslee with Harris County Constable Terry Allbritton’s Office. “They were in the area and reacted quickly when they heard her.”

Fortunately, the beer bottle didn’t hit the woman or the dog. The male suspect acted aggressively and combatively towards the deputies. He even reached his hand into the patrol vehicle. He actively resisted detention, but deputies where able to detain him.

According to the District Clerk’s office, the man has a history of multiple charges, including terroristic threats, but all had been previously dismissed. The woman chose not to press charges and while deputies responded to her distress, the suspect was ultimately not charged due to the incident, but rather Interference with Duties of a Public Servant.

The court documents also indicate that the man does have a history of mental health issues. He has been placed into custody and was transported to the Harris County Jail.
