Mo's Place held a family-friendly community benefit with popular country artists to raise money for Hurricane Harvey Relief in Katy.
Mo's Place, a Katy concert hall and bar that has hosted country music legends like Merle Haggard and Nashville and Texas stars Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Kevin Fowler, Aaron Watson, and dozens more, stepped up to the plate in the wake of Hurricane Harvey to help get Katy back on its feet again.
Texans helping Texans
Owner Mo Jeloudarzadeh, his family, Mo's staff, and community volunteers, worked tirelessly in the days after the flooding to fill 18-wheelers with clothing, food, and supplies for affected neighborhoods and businesses. But they didn't stop there.
On September 13, Jeloudarzadeh created the Mo's Community Recovery Fund Katy
link on their website, and began circulating a flyer for the Hurricane Harvey Relief Benefit Concert with popular headliners like Doug Stone and Tracy Byrd. On September 24, all of Katy was invited to spend the day as a family eating delicious barbecue, hanging out with popular kid's characters like Disney's Queen Elsa, and enjoying live music for just $10.
"We can't wait to see everyone as we Texans help other Texans in need - may God bless!" read the promotion.
Giving back to Katy
The event was a massive success. In just one day, Mo's Place raised over $50,000 for the Mo's Community Recovery Fund. According to Mo, 100% of the profits from the family-friendly event will go back to the community to help repair the damage wrought by flooding from Harvey.
"Thank you from bottom of my heart for your support and may God Bless Texas and God Bless Texans helping Texans!"
