A routine traffic stop led to a foot pursuit and juvenile arrests for evading arrests, tampering with physical evidence, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Friday, July 11, 2026, a Fort Bend County Constable Precinct 1 deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Charger near the intersection of West Firethorne Road and South Firethorne Road after observing the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. That traffic stop would result in a pursuit and arrests.
“This is the perfect example of how ‘routine’ traffic stops can quickly change,” says Constable Chad Norvell. “Great job by the deputies involved.”
Two male passengers exited the vehicle when is came to a stop and fled on foot toward the residential area. The deputy immediately broadcast descriptions of the fleeing subjects while the driver of the vehicle (juvenile) was detained at the scene.
