Deputies with Constable Ted Heap’s Office have identified two suspects who led police on a high-speed chase last Sunday, January 16. The chase started at the 18000 block of the Katy Freeway access road and ended in a crash at Katy fort Bend road.

No Injuries Reported in Crash

Fortunately, the occupants in the other vehicle were uninjured.

Both the driver and passenger escaped their crashed vehicle on foot. Precinct 5 deputies have identified the individuals as being Camryn Elise McPherson, 18, and Samantha Paige Jacobs, 18.

One Suspect was out on Bond

McPherson was out on bond on two other criminal charges at the time of the incident.

McPherson, the driver, is charged with evading in a motor vehicle accident. Jacobs is charged with evading on foot.

“The fact that the now wanted fugitive was out on multiple bonds should come as no surprise,” says Andy Kahan, Director of Victim Services and Advocacy at Crime Stoppers of Houston. “Our skyrocketing crime rates are directly correlated with the revolving door at the Courthouse.”

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of the suspects should contact Harris County Constable Ted Heap’s Office at (281) 463-6666.

“We continue to fail our communities and victims under the false narrative that bond reform leads to decreasing crime rates and is in the best interest of public safety,” says Kahan
