Teen Arrested After Wielding a Gun in a Katy Neighborhood

A Katy teen has been arrested on charges of Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon after he banged his weapon on the front door in Williamsburg Colony.

Yesterday, June 29, 2026, Constable Terry Allbritton's Deputies were dispatched to the 22600 block of Leedstown Lane in Katy’s Williamsburg Colony for reports of a male banging on a resident’s door with a weapon.

According to authorities, the defendant disrespected the suspects deceased brother, and he went to the home. The defendant, a 19-year-old, looked out the peephole of his door and saw the suspect with a gun. He then escaped through a back door of his home and hid before calling 911.

Deputies quickly responded and located the suspect's vehicle nearby. After making contact at the residence where the vehicle was parked and conducting an investigation, a 16-year-old male was taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Assault and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon.

There is no report as to inf the suspect had any priors due to him being charged as a minor.

Authorities say that this was an isolated case that only involved the two men involved and that the community wasn’t in danger.
