Stole Over $800 in Handbags

The local Cinco Ranch Hallmark store (22116 Westheimer Parkway) is a place to go for ornaments, gifts, and even some designer handbags. On Monday, October 9, 2023, at 5:15 p.m. two suspects were caught on security camera stealing multiple Consuela bags.

“We are a family-owned business with great gifts for birthdays and weddings,” says Cinco Ranch Hallmark store manager Renee Bosco. “We have a great staff that is always there to help.”

The theft comes as a shock to the store as they aren’t accustomed to such. They recently put security wires on the handbags when they felt some people were scouting them out a while ago.

The thieves in the footage clearly knew that the bags had wires and came prepared to cut them. They can be seen doing so in the video before leaving the store with the bags without paying.

The suspects stole over $800 worth of merchandise.

The crime is currently under investigation by the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office. If anyone has any information, they are asked to contact the department at 281-341-4665.

Support Local Businesses

“We hope the community will shop local and support small businesses like Hallmark,” says Bosco.

This Sunday is their big Holiday ornament debut. Over 150 new ornaments will be available to purchase as Katy community members start to look forward to the holiday season.
