Big Local Races to Watch

Everyone knows about the Governor race, but the Katy area has many races closer to home that residents need to watch.

Big local elections include the race for Harris County Judge. Republican Alexandra del Moral Mealer is running to unseat Democratic incumbent Lina Hidalgo.

Fort Bend County Judge KP George is being challenged by Trevor Nehls.

While not an election race, but still a major issue for Katy, is Katy ISD’s TRE that if passed would give District teachers a 4% pay raise and allow the hiring of additional police officers. Learn more about TRE here.

As always, follow your county for the up to date information.

Election Day is November 8, 2022.
