Katy ISD has announced the new start times for the 2018-19 school year.
Beginning this fall, Katy Independent School District will transition to a multi-bell schedule which will support the new district transportation model. Monday night, the Katy ISD Board of Trustees announced the elementary schools that will fall under Group 1 and 2.
The 2018-19 multi-bell schedule will include four groups that will begin and dismiss at different times of the school day. These changes will alleviate the challenges the district is facing with bus driver recruitment as well as safety concerns with congested traffic in areas within Katy. Elementary campuses will be divided in two groups. To verify what group your child’s campus falls under, click here.
High School - 7:25 a.m. to 2:35 p.m.
Elementary Group 1 - 8:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
Elementary Group 2 - 8:20 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
Junior High School - 8:45 a.m. to 3:55 p.m.
