Authorities are investigating and seeking public help in solving a home burglary in Cinco Ranch at the 1400 block of Evening Cloud Court.

UPDATE: Authorities released a video of the crime.

On Tuesday, December 4, a neighbor confronted two suspects that were parked in the victim's driveway loading up their vehicle. Once confronted they put down a television they were carrying and fled in a red Nissan SUV. The crime was reported around 3:00 pm.

Authorities have now shared a video of the crime in hopes that the public can help lead investigators to the suspects.

"Our investigators are busy looking into possible leads," said Robert Henslee, media and public relations with Harris County Constable's Office Precinct 5. "During the holiday season home burglaries and crime rate do tend to go up."

The witness describes the suspects as being two black males in their twenties. One was wearing a reflective vest with gray pants and the other wore a blue hooded sweatshirt.

When deputies arrived to the home they found the house in disarray, evident that the suspects rummaged through items. The homeowner says that several personal items and electronics are missing.

"To avoid being victimized we recommend using a home alarm system. We find that those are very effective," says Henslee. "Exterior lighting especially with motion sensors are also effective in deterring people with ill intent."

"Having alert neighbors is also a great help. It's always great when neighbors can look after one another," said Henslee.
