Floyd was injured helping a friend repair a trailer on January 22. He first attended his great nieces birthday party before going to a local Katy ER for medical attention.

Floyd was treated and given morphine for his injury. He gave up waiting on a friend to pick him up and left the ER to go get his medication at the 24-hour Walgreens pharmacy on Mason Road.

Floyd then was seen on video getting something to eat at Ray’s Restaurant at 10:15 p.m. that night.

According to his family, the last known cell phone ping was reported back at his friends house on Sunrise Drive between 10:40 p.m. and 10:59 p.m.

Floyd Hayes attended Katy High School Class of '77 and was a star on the baseball team. He’s lived in Katy his entire life and is happy to be raising his family and grandbabies here.

This is an ongoing investigation.
