If you've been to Drix, you already know the food is good. Really good. Guests rave about their famous grilled skewers platter, lamb chops, chophouse filet, chicken Marsala, and calamari, to name a few. With influences from Europe, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Southern France, there is always something delicious on the menu so everyone leaves feeling satisfied. In addition to the great food, Drix has plenty of other reasons why Katyites keep coming back again and again.
1. GUESTS CAN CHOOSE ADULTS-ONLY OR FAMILY FRIENDLY SIDE
Whether it's date night, kids' night, or girls night out, guests are able to choose their side. "Our customers love the option of dining as a couple or with friends on the adults-only side, or bringing the kids and having dinner in the family-friendly side," says owner Sid Mounfik. This was the original vision of both Sid and Cassandra Mounfik, who are parents to two sons and saw a need for this “best of both worlds” restaurant. Drix is virtually the only restaurant in Katy who offers both.
2. THERE'S A FUN INDOOR KIDS PLAY AREA
A big hit with moms and dads, Drix is one of only a handful of restaurants in Katy that has an indoor kids play area called Kids Korner. Located in the family-friendly side, Kids Korner has a large play toy structure equipped with a slide as well as popular arcade games for kids to enjoy. While the kids play, parents or friends love having time for adult conversations and perhaps a nice cocktail.
3. KIDS CAN EAT FREE OR FOR $1
"My children and I absolutely LOVE Drix," says customer Nyomi. "The drinks and food are delicious and the play area is clean." Drix has a $1 kids menu with cheese pizza, Alfredo, marinara or butter pasta with sides of apples or fries and a drink. There is a second kids menu for $6 that includes 2 chicken fingers or 2 cheese sliders, a side and a drink. Always kid-friendly, Drix also carries favorites like slushies, ice cream sundaes, brownies, and cupcakes for the kids to enjoy. Kids eat free on Wednesdays which includes 2 items from $1 menu, usually a pizza or pasta, PLUS a side, and a soft drink.
4. EVERYDAY IS HAPPY HOUR
Drix has a full bar and offers guests plenty of happy hour specials every day from 4 to 7 PM Monday through Saturday and ALL DAY Sunday. Some of the drink specials include $5 select house martinis, $4 house wines, sangria and craft beer, $3 well drinks, $2 Bud Light and Miller Light beers. Plus $1 off all appetizers!
5. WINE, APPETIZER, AND DINNER SPECIAL FOR $14.99
Another big hit with couples and friends is Drix's Dinner and Wine Special for $14.99. Guests choose from fours wines, two beers, four appetizers, and nine entrees to create a custom meal at a fantastic price. This popular special is also perfect for ladies' night out groups who want a full meal at the best value.
6. DRIX SERVES LUNCH TOO
Drix offers a hearty three course lunch that includes appetizer, entree, and dessert for just $12.99. Guests can add a glass of house wine for $3 more. Choose from delicious options like Chicken Pesto Pasta, the famous Drix Burger, Skewer Plate, the BLT Wrap, and more. Lunch is served 11 to 3 on Friday and 10:30 to 3 on Saturday and Sunday.
7. SUNDAY BRUNCH BUFFET
Drix also has a delectable Sunday Brunch served from 10:30 AM to 2 PM with a plentiful all-you-can-eat buffet for just $13. If you add a mimosa, the staff will do their best to keep your glass full. Or you might try Drix's famous home infused jalapeno Bloody Mary. Guests can also select items from the a la carte menu and choose items like Drix Benedict, Eggs Florentine, or a Mediterranean Omelet. And here’s one of Drix's best little known secrets. It's happy hour ALL DAY on Sundays. "I've been for brunch, drinks, and dinner and have not been let down once" says Katy mom, Molly. "The atmosphere is nice though still casual. Everything I've had to eat there has been PHENOMENAL!"
8. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR TIME AND RELAX
From the beginning, Drix was purposely designed to be a casual hangout type restaurant for both adult groups and families so you won't be rushed out as soon as you set your fork down. "We want people to look at Drix as a comfortable place to hang out and an affordable place for the whole family." 9. DRIX HAS AL FRESCO PET-FRIENDLY DINING
