Hundreds of Positions Open

Katy ISD is hosting a Job Fair to fill hundreds of vacant operation positions in departments such as Transportation, Nutrition and Food Services, and Maintenance and Operations. The fastest growing district and the fifth largest district in Texas has over 90,000 students and offers competitive salaries and more benefits.

“Our Katy ISD support staff play an important role in the education of the District's 90,000+ students, as they ensure our facilities and campuses are safe and supportive learning environments,” says Ted Vierling, Katy ISD Chief Operations Officer.

Job Fair is July 19, 2022

This Operations Job Fair will be on July 19, 2022 from 4:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at Cinco Ranch High School (23440 Cinco Ranch Blvd.)

Interested candidates should complete an application at www.katyisd.org before attending the job fair. Hard copy resumes are recommended for attendees, as well as preparation for onsite interviews.

“During this job fair there will be a variety of positions available for bus drivers, kitchen workers, custodians, groundskeepers and general maintenance, among others,” says Vierling.

Katy ISD continues to seek qualified teachers and other positions. Learn more about open positions within the District at their website.

Benefits include competitive salaries, health insurance options and flexible hours for full and part-time positions.

Last year the District sought bus drivers as they and many area school districts experienced bus driver shortages.

“Fortunately, due to bell schedule and bus route modifications that will take effect this upcoming school year, the District is not currently experiencing a driver shortage,” says Vierling. “However, we regularly hire drivers and other transportation staff throughout the school year to continually improve upon services available to eligible riders.”

300 Teaching Positions Open

The District currently has vacancies for 300 teachers.

“As the fifth-largest school district in the State of Texas, Katy ISD is known for hiring and retaining some of the best educators in the nation,” says Vierling. “Throughout the summer, Katy ISD continues to recruit and hire qualified individuals.”

Katy ISD continues to grow. Last year the District welcome its 90,000th student. They plan to open four new schools in three years to match the city’s growth. Learn more here.

“We look forward to welcoming new members to the Katy ISD family,” says Vierling.
