A Katy Mills jewelry store employee opened fire Friday evening at two suspects during a grab-and-go attempt at the popular Katy shopping mall. No injuries have been reported and the suspects fled the scene.

Employee Fired 3 Shots
Police responded to gunfire around 7 p.m. Friday, June 4 at Katy Mills Mall.
According to authorities, two men entered a jewelry store and used a nail gun to smash a display case.
Then a jewelry store employee pulled out a gun and fired three shots at the suspect. No one in the mall was hurt. It has not been reported if a suspect was injured but all three suspects fled the scene.
According to the Katy Police Department, the attempted robbers fled the scene empty handed in a white-colored vehicle that was waiting for them outside the mall.
