Residents in the Katy/Fulshear area should prepare themselves for major delays due to construction at FM 1093 and FM 1463 this weekend.
According to the Fulshear Police Department, construction on the intersection at FM 1463 1093 and FM 1463 near Cross Creek Ranch will being on Friday night and last until work is completed - causing major delays and detours for drivers.
Two-way traffic will be directed to the new concrete pavement on the eastbound lanes located south of the existing roadway.
On Friday at 9 p.m. until Saturday at 2 a.m., the east and westbound lanes at FM 1093, and FM 359 south of FM 1093 will be closed and are expected to reopen Saturday morning.
The change in traffic flow will require a new intersection and FM 1463, and drivers should prepare themselves for longer commutes.
