Official Statement from Katy ISD:

Paetow High School was evacuated this morning due to a small, contained fire in a bathroom which resulted in the activation of the school’s fire alarm system. As part of the District’s standard safety procedure, students were immediately evacuated to Panther Stadium while the local fire department and Katy ISD Police Department assessed the situation. During that time, fans and water bottles were provided to ensure students’ needs were taken care of as they waited. At about 10 a.m., the Fire Marshal gave the all clear for students and staff to return to the building. Paetow High School’s instructional day has returned to its regular schedule.
