It's time to start planning where you and your family will party for the 4th of July. Katy, Texas has you covered from live entertainment, food, family activities, and of course- fireworks.
These are your major Katy area events for this year's Fourth of July. There are many options for fun, safe and festive ways to celebrate our Nation's birthday.
July 4th Bash Wednesday, July 4, 2018 5 - 9:30 p.m.
LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.
Katy families can again enjoy the festivities at the annual Fourth of July Bash event at LaCenterra presented by Texas Children's Hospital West Campus. The fun begins at 5 p.m. with live music by Velvet Touch, Buck Yeager Band and Level One Band. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets as people camp out to enjoy the music and to get their spot for the evening fireworks show. You can also enjoy food for purchase from any of the LaCenterra restaurants. There is also an interactive kid zone where the younger party goers can have fun. The fireworks show starts at 9:15 pm. If you can't find parking in the parking garage they will open Cinco Ranch High School for event parking just across from LaCenterra.
Festive Fourth Tuesday, July 3, 2018 9:30 - 11 a.m., & 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Chick-fil-A of Cinco Ranch 23680 Westheimer Pkwy.
Katy kiddos and their parents can celebrate early with two super fun events. Preschool agers can enjoy a red, white and blue star spangled morning craft time! Sparkle dough, singing, dancing and story time to follow from 9:30 - 11 a.m., and the whole family is welcome to hang out from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. with a fun firework craft to celebrate 4th of July. Plus, complimentary balloon animals and face painting by Sweet Honey the Clown.
Katy Freedom Celebration & Fireworks at Katy Mills Mall Wednesday, July 4, 2018 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Wednesday, July 4, 2018 9 p.m. 5000 Katy Mills Cir.
The City of Katy will host a family-friendly celebration from 9 am -1 pm at the Katy Fire Station, Katy Heritage Park and VFW Hall. There families will find free activities that include bounce houses, dunking booth, petting zoo, trackless train, snow cones and more. Hot dogs and drinks will be donated by HEB and Chick-Fil-a. There will be a silent and live auction in the VFW Hall. Then later that evening at 9 pm there will be a fireworks show at Katy Mills/Typhoon Texas.
Fourth of July Jamboree Wednesday, July 4, 2018 2 - 9 p.m.
Smith Ranch 25440 Beckendorff Rd.
Smith Ranch is hosting their annual 4th of July Jamboree event from 2pm to 9pm. For $10 a person guests can enjoy great food, music, paddle boats, petting zoo, water slides, moonwalks and more. The day will end with fireworks.
Lone Star Symphonic Band Performs "One Nation, Our Heritage" Sunday, July 1, 2018 4 p.m. Holy Covenant United Methodist Church 22111 Morton Rd.
American Legion Post #164 will present the US and Texas Flags before the concert begins, and will also present each branch flag during the Salute to the Armed Forces selection. Selections to be performed during this concert include: Stars and Stripes Forever, Battle Hymn of the Republic, Our Flirtations March, Liberty Bell, Lonely Beach*, American Civil War Fantasy, America the Beautiful, Salute to the Armed Forces, God Bless the USA, and God Bless America.
Fulshear Freedom Fest Sunday, July 1, 2018 6 - 9:30 p.m.
The City of Fulshear is hosting their annual event sponsored by the Fulshear Area Chamber of Commerce on Sunday July 1, which is wonderful for those wanting to maximize your Fourth of July experience. You can attend this event and still make it one of the other local events being held on Wednesday the 4th. The city promises another year of great festivities including music by Le Freak and fireworks.
