BEST KATY AREA PARKS


Located off I-10 and Westgreen

A little hidden gem just off I-10 and Westgreen Boulevard, Rick Rice Park has walking trails, a lighted bridge and huge inspirational words like "hope," "love," and more to keep you motivated. Insider Tip: Don't linger after dusk or you might come across a snake or two.

Nestled in historic Katy, Mary Jo Peckham Park's amenities include mini-golf, fishing, gazebo, disk golf, pavilion, picnic tables with bbq area, restrooms, and a lighted trail.

 

The 32-acre park is located at the northwest corner of SH 99/Grand Parkway and Cinco Ranch Blvd., north of Cinco Ranch High School. Take a leisurely walk through Willow Fork Park to watch for butterflies visiting their special garden. The park is also equipped with boardwalks, a pedestrian bridge, disc golf, bio swales, a pavilion facility with restrooms, picnic tables, and grills.

Rugged and natural with plenty of shady, the trails around George Bush Park make you feel like you've traveled far out to the country. George Bush Park has it all - picnic areas with bbq grills, a boardwalk, fishing, equestrian trail, a model airplane airport, pavilion, playground, shooting range.

One of the most beautiful places to see the sunset, it's rugged, simple beauty can be enchanting. Enjoy a nice, quiet walk or ride under amazing sunset skies.

Visitors to the Katy Heritage Park enjoy the restored historic buildings, beautiful landscaping, and a charming bandstand pavilion. The Katy mural has become a favorite family photo spot.

The 14-acre Katy Dog Park offers many amenities for four-legged friends including a walking path, a wading pool, custom dog showers, and an agility course.

FB MUD 35 Dog Park features two fenced-in areas – one for small dogs and one for large dogs. At the front of the park are Doggie Stations and a Doggie Wash Stations.

We just love the stately southern look of this iconic Katy country club. The view from the veranda overlooking the golf course is quite breathtaking too.

 

Cane Island

One of Katy's master planned home communities, Cane Island has integrated a lighted archway, water fountains, ponds, pools, recreation center, an atrium, and other unique elements to attract local residents who desire to live within the City of Katy limits.
