If you've been yearning for nature or a little outdoor fun, we've got you covered! Here are some of Katy's best parks and beautiful places to see. Here's a list of some of the best to check out with your Katy family. (In no particular order).
BEST KATY AREA PARKS
Located off I-10 and Westgreen
A little hidden gem just off I-10 and Westgreen Boulevard, Rick Rice Park has walking trails, a lighted bridge and huge inspirational words like "hope," "love," and more to keep you motivated. Insider Tip: Don't linger after dusk or you might come across a snake or two.
5597 Gardenia Ln.
Nestled in historic Katy, Mary Jo Peckham Park's amenities include mini-golf, fishing, gazebo, disk golf, pavilion, picnic tables with bbq area, playground, restrooms, and a lighted trail. The park also offers an aquatics and fitness center available free of use for residents of Harris County and City of Katy. Reservation are required to use any of the facilities or to participate in the classes.
23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd.
Central Green features an outdoor stage, large oak shade trees, and ample outdoor seating. The park provides a year-round venue for community activities and entertainment. Free movies, concerts, events, and family fun all courtesy of the Willow Fork Drainage District. Check their upcoming Events Calendar and find out why they are a Katy favorite.
The 32-acre park is located at the northwest corner of SH 99/Grand Parkway and Cinco Ranch Blvd., north of Cinco Ranch High School. Take a leisurely walk through Willow Fork Park to watch for butterflies visiting their special garden. The park is also equipped with boardwalks, a pedestrian bridge, playground, disc golf, bio swales, a pavilion facility with restrooms, picnic tables and grills.

Tucked away behind Creech Elementary is a beautiful park that features a sensory garden, swings, a musical bridge, a raindrop berm lawn, and a slide tower and bridge connecting to a hill slide. The park also features an interactive water cycle wall that creates a hands-on experience for kids. Insider Tip: Because this is a water conservation park, there are no bathrooms on site.

Rugged and natural with plenty of shady, the trails around George Bush Park make you feel like you've traveled far out to the country. George Bush Park has it all - picnic areas with bbq grills, a boardwalk, fishing, equestrian trail, a model airplane airport, pavilion, playground, shooting range. Plus, the park allows overnight scout camping and offers a meeting room.
One of the most beautiful places to see the sunset, it's rugged, simple beauty can be enchanting. Enjoy a nice, quiet walk or ride under amazing sunset skies.
Katy Play Station Park
A fun city of Katy park that is also called "train park" because of its fun train-themed playground.
Visitors to the Katy Heritage Park enjoy the restored historic buildings, beautiful landscaping, and charming bandstand pavilion. The Katy mural has become a favorite family photo spot.

The 14-acre Katy Dog Park offers many amenities for four-legged friends including a walking path, a wading pool, custom dog showers, and an agility course.

The park offers you and your furry friend access to a walking path, dog pond, dog showers, and picnic tables.
9114 Katy Hockley Rd.
Take your pup to Beverly Kaufman Dog Park to access the walking path, dog pond, dog showers, and picnic tables.
8945 South Fry Rd.
FB MUD 35 Dog Park features two fenced-in areas – one for small dogs and one for large dogs. At the front of the park are Doggie Stations and a Doggie Wash Stations.
