Shaken Up But Fine

Kayla Mollon, of Katy, was in the Barker Post Office with her young children when the incident happened this morning.

“We are shaken up but we are OK,” says Kayla Mollon. “Me and both kids (and a sweet stranger) were standing there not even 30 seconds earlier.”

Mollon had just picked up her daughter who had been running in the hallway just before the vehicle came through.

The post office is located at 211 Baker Road, east of Greenhouse Rd. between Kingsland Blvd. and I-10. The facility is open weekdays 8:30 am to 4 pm and Saturdays 9:30 am to 11 am.

Praise For Employees

“Thank you to the sweet employees behind the counter for yelling at me to hand them Rylie through the glass and yelled at Landen to climb over and quickly took them to the back to safety,” says Mollon.

The driver of the vehicle immediately tried to reverse, and Mollon said he almost took the ceiling out with him.

“I was told the man said when he turned into the parking lot he accidently hit the accelerator instead of the brake,” says Mollon.

The situation is under control and fortunately no one was hurt in the incident.

Katy Magazine reached out to the post office but has not heard back with a comment about the incident.
