A man is believed to have fired multiple gunshots into the air near Katy ISD’s Memorial Parkway Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon. The incident prompted the District to alter dismissal plans to ensure everyone’s safety.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office will lead a procession for Deputy Kenneth Lewis today at 8:00 a.m. that will impact drivers along the Grand Parkway. Deputy Lewis lost his life when he was struck by a vehicle while assisting a stranded motorist.
