Deputies from Harris County, Constable Terry Allbritton Princint 5 Office responded to a Katy woman’s cry for help over the weekend. A man was ultimately arrested and charged with Interference with the Duties of a Public Servant and after he aggressively approached a woman and her dog.

A woman remains in critical condition after her ex-boyfriend shot her before killing himself in an attempted murder-suicide case still under active investigation.

Two thieves in a black sedan stole a trunk full of pumpkins from the patch at First Christian Church Katy over the weekend. The pumpkins they stole from the handicap patch area serve many community programs.

Katy resident Lisa Babin, who was a regular at Katy ISD school board meetings, has died after her son allegedly struck her with a hammer. Robert Babin remains in custody.
