The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office reports a drastic increase in scams that are affecting innocent citizens in the Katy area. The latest involved demands for payment to avoid arrest for a fake warrant.

Katy ISD sent families an email yesterday reminding drivers, cyclist and pedestrians of traffic safety as a woman was found speeding over 20 mph the speed limit in a District school zone. The woman was found to have five warrants to her name and was arrested at the scene.

For 26 years David Temple has been fighting the courts over his multiple murder convictions. His wife Belinda Temple was shot and killed inside their Katy. She was 8 month pregnant with their daughter, Erin. The pandemic, appeals, and a mistrial have all caused delays. The murders are considered Katy's most horrific crime.

Katy resident Lisa Babin, who was a regular at Katy ISD school board meetings, has died after her son allegedly struck her with a hammer. Robert Babin remains in custody.

A driver was arrested over the weekend after Constable Terry Allbritton’s Katy deputies witnessed two drivers street racing on South Mason Road.
